You can start SPANworks a couple different ways. The easiest way is to use the SPANworks Desktop icon that will start the SPAN Communications Service and the SPANworks window.
You can also start SPANworks from the Start menu. Select SPAN Communications Service to start the communication engine without the SPANworks window, and use SPANworks 2000 to launch the Communications Service and window. Selecting the Communications Service will allow automatic sending, receiving, or synchronization of data that you may have queued or set to automatically run in the background without the main window being active.
